Mega Dragonite in Mega Raids

Prioritising Mega Dragonite

Mega Dragonite is the main attraction in this event, and for good reason. With its impressive stats and access to a versatile move set, it can hold its own in both raids and battles. You should focus on maximizing your chances of catching a Mega Dragonite, especially if you’re aiming for a shiny variant. There are two shiny forms to chase, making it worthwhile to hit as many raids as you can. Don’t forget that Mega Evolutions can provide significant advantages in battles, so consider investing in Mega Dragonite if you haven’t already.

Bonuses and Raid Strategy

This event doesn’t come with specific bonuses, which means it's purely about the raids themselves. To maximize efficiency, gather a strong team of counter Pokémon before heading into a Mega Dragonite raid. Steel-types like Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash are excellent counters due to their resistance to Dragon-type moves. Ice-types like Mamoswine, armed with Powder Snow and Avalanche, can also dish out heavy damage. Make sure to use weather boosts if applicable, as this can elevate your damage output significantly.

Is It Worth Your Time?

Participating in Mega Dragonite raids is worth your time if you’re looking to bolster your roster with a strong Mega Pokémon. The dual shiny potential adds an extra layer of excitement, especially for collectors. However, if you’re not keen on Mega Evolutions or shiny hunting, you might find it less rewarding. In the current meta, while Mega Dragonite is a solid option, you should weigh your efforts against other ongoing events or your personal goals in Pokémon GO. If you're a competitive player, this event can provide valuable additions to your team, so rally up and get those raids in!
