How do Pokemon GO search strings work?
Your Pokemon storage has a search bar that accepts keywords and operators. Typing shiny&4* shows only your perfect-IV shinies. Combine terms with & (AND), , (OR) and ! (NOT).
What does 4* mean?
A Pokemon with perfect Individual Values — 15 Attack, 15 Defense and 15 Stamina, also called a “hundo”. The scale runs 0* to 4*, and a 4* shows three full bars plus the red arc in the appraisal screen.
What is the safest search string for mass transfer?
!4*&!3*&!shiny&!legendary&!shadow&!mythical&!favorite. It hides everything valuable and leaves only safe transfers. Always read the resulting list before confirming — transfers cannot be undone.
Can I combine several search strings?
Yes, and you can chain as many as you like. fire,water&shiny finds shiny Fire or Water types. AND binds the whole expression, so put the OR list first.
How do I search for 100% IV Pokemon?
Type 4*. For near-perfect too, use 3*,4*, which adds everything at 82% IV and above.
How do I find all my shiny Pokemon?
Type shiny. Narrow it with a name (shiny&eevee) or a category (shiny&legendary).
How do I filter Pokemon caught today?
age0 is today, age0-1 the last two days, age0-7 the last week. Combine with IV filters — age0&!3*&!4* lists today's low-IV catches that are safe to transfer.
How do I search by type?
Type the type name: fire, water, dragon. Use a comma for several (fire,water). To search by move type instead of Pokemon type, add the @ prefix: @fire.
What does the @ symbol do?
It switches the search from the Pokemon's typing to its moveset. @fire finds anything that knows a Fire move whatever its own type — the quickest way to assemble a raid team by damage type.
How do I find Pokemon to evolve for XP?
evolve lists everything you can evolve now. evolvenew narrows it to evolutions that register a new Pokedex entry, which pays an extra 1,000 XP each.
How do I find good Great League or Ultra League Pokemon?
cp-1500&3*,4* for Great League, cp-2500&3*,4* for Ultra. Note that PvP IVs work differently from raid IVs: in a capped league, lower Attack with higher Defense and Stamina usually wins. Check the league rankings before you power anything up.
How do I find trade candidates with a distance bonus?
distance100- lists Pokemon caught 100 km or more away. Trading those gives three candy instead of one and counts toward the Pilot medal. Add &!favorite&!shiny to see only the expendable ones.
