Yveltal in 5-star Raid Battles

Prioritize Yveltal Raids

Yveltal is hitting 5-star raids, and it's definitely worth prioritizing your time here. As a Dark/Flying type, it has a unique matchup in the current meta, particularly against Psychic and Ghost types. Its move set can include powerful attacks like Dark Pulse and Hurricane, making it not just a raid target but also a strong contender in GO Battle League. If you're looking to fill out your roster with relevant Pokémon, going after Yveltal is a solid choice.

Shiny Potential

This event features a shiny Yveltal, which is always a thrill for collectors. While the shiny odds are not guaranteed, the excitement of potentially adding this variant to your collection is definitely a valid reason to hit the raids. Shiny hunting can sometimes feel like a grind, but with a Pokémon as visually striking as Yveltal, it makes the effort worthwhile if you enjoy that aspect of the game.

Bonuses and Time Investment

Interestingly, there are no additional bonuses tied to this event. This means you won’t benefit from raid bonuses like extra XP or candy, which might usually entice you to go harder. However, if you’re a competitive player or simply want to add Yveltal to your team, the lack of bonuses shouldn't deter you. Focus on assembling a strong raid party and take advantage of the meta to ensure quick takedowns.

Is It Worth Your Time?

Deciding whether to invest time in Yveltal raids ultimately depends on your goals. If you're looking to strengthen your lineup for the current meta or enjoy the thrill of shiny hunting, then yes, it’s worth it. However, if you're not particularly interested in Yveltal or its competitive viability, you might want to save your resources for future events with better bonuses or more enticing Pokémon. Overall, this raid is a good opportunity for dedicated players, but evaluate your priorities before diving in.
