How the fight goes and what to bring.
Latias shares Latios's Dragon/Psychic typing and its long weakness list (Bug, Ghost, Dark, Ice, Dragon, Fairy), so counters are easy to assemble and the raid is duo-able. Where Latias earns its keep is PvP: its bulk makes it a durable Dragon in Ultra and Master League with Dragon Breath and Outrage/coverage. It's a lower priority than the game's premier Dragon attackers for pure raiding, but a nice pickup for GBL players.
Do not bring Electric, Fighting, Fire damage — Latias resists it and your lobby will run out of time before it runs out of HP. Everything in the counter list above already hits for super effective damage, so pick the six highest entries you actually own and power up.
In Windy weather the boss hits harder and survives longer, but the catch encounter is level 25 instead of 20 — a harder fight for a better reward. Bring one extra trainer on boosted runs.
