How the fight goes and what to bring.
Groudon is pure Ground, weak only to Water, Grass, and Ice. Kyogre, Mega Swampert, Kartana, and Galarian Darmanitan all wreck it. It's comfortably beaten by 3 solid trainers and duo-able for the well-prepared. In Sunny weather the raid is tougher (boosted Ground and Fire), so bring extra bodies. Beyond the fight, Groudon earns its keep as a raid attacker for years and is a Master League staple; the shiny's dark-green palette makes it a collector favorite. If you can only power up one Ground-type this season, make it Groudon.
Do not bring Electric, Bug, Fairy damage — Primal Groudon resists it and your lobby will run out of time before it runs out of HP. Everything in the counter list above already hits for super effective damage, so pick the six highest entries you actually own and power up.
