FAQ
What is the best moveset for Shadow Vikavolt in Pokemon GO?
Shadow Vikavolt's best moveset is Bug Bite with X Scissor, worth 25.3 DPS as a Bug-type raid attacker. A TM rerolls at random among its 3 fast and 4 charged non-legacy moves.
It is caught knowing Frustration, which only comes off with a Charged TM during a Team GO Rocket Takeover event — do that before spending Stardust on it.
What are Shadow Vikavolt's weaknesses in Pokemon GO?
Shadow Vikavolt takes super effective damage from Fire, Rock. It resists Electric, Fighting, Grass, Steel.
What is Shadow Vikavolt's max CP in Pokemon GO?
Shadow Vikavolt reaches 3,524 CP at level 50 and 3,117 CP at level 40, both with 15/15/15 IVs. That is the same CP as a regular Vikavolt: the Shadow attack bonus applies in battle and never shows in the CP number.
What CP is a 100% IV Shadow Vikavolt?
After a Team GO Rocket battle a 15/15/15 Shadow Vikavolt shows 702 CP (level 8), or 1,158 CP when weather boosted (level 13). From a Shadow Raid it is 1,781 CP, or 2,226 weather boosted.
Is Shadow Vikavolt better than regular Vikavolt?
In raids, yes: Shadow Vikavolt deals 25.3 DPS (#4 Bug) against 21.6 DPS (#15 Bug) for the regular form. It pays for that with 20% more damage taken, so it faints sooner. See Vikavolt.
How do you get Shadow Vikavolt in Pokemon GO?
Shadow Vikavolt is rescued after beating Team GO Rocket, or caught from a Shadow Raid — which Grunts, Leaders and raids carry it changes with every Rocket rotation. It cannot be traded or Mega Evolved. Purifying it costs 1,000 Stardust and 1 Candy and turns it into a regular Vikavolt with Return — the Shadow attack bonus is lost for good.
